Second Place Shines Bright! Marini’s Stellar Performance Puts UPVINE in the Spotlight at Hangzhou Race

Hangzhou, May 23, 2026 – At the UCI Gran Fondo World Series Hangzhou leg, Italian rider Nicolas Marini, sponsored by UPVINE, delivered a standout performance in the 21km Liangzhu Individual Time Trial (ITT). He completed the course in 25:52 at an average speed of 46.3 km/h, securing second place and marking a strong result for UPVINE on China’s domestic cycling stage.

Event Background: UCI Gran Fondo World Series Hangzhou
The UCI Gran Fondo World Series is an official mass-participation road cycling series organized by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). It attracts recreational and competitive riders worldwide, with each stop offering multiple distances and formats to promote cycling culture and competitive spirit.

As a key 2026 round, the Hangzhou race was held on a circuit around the Liangzhu Ancient City Ruins. The course combined long straights and technical corners, testing riders’ pacing, endurance and bike handling. The 21km ITT was a flagship event, requiring riders to race alone without team tactics, relying solely on rhythm, power output and pacing strategy.

Marini’s Standout Performance
Marini rode a professional, well-judged race:
Start phase: Quickly found his rhythm, maintaining steady power to hold position in the opening half.
Turnaround (10.4 km): Set a blistering split of 50.1 km/h, demonstrating elite sprint power.
Final result: 25:52 / 46.3 km/h, solid second place overall.
His result reflected exceptional rhythm control, cornering technique and mature energy management.

UPVINE Brand Highlight
As a key supported rider for UPVINE, Marini’s strong showing not only highlighted his competitive ability but also raised UPVINE’s profile in China’s cycling community. UPVINE is committed to supporting cycling development, partnering with top riders and competing at major domestic and international events to build a professional, dynamic brand image.

Looking Ahead
Marini’s performance in Liangzhu reaffirmed his potential and boosted UPVINE’s momentum for the 2026 season. As the national tour continues, the UPVINE–Marini partnership will feature at more key races, delivering exciting moments for cycling fans.
